The article analyzes the impact of the war in the Middle East on French companies, notably through the surge in energy prices and the disruption of maritime routes. Leaders such as Elizabeth Ducottet, CEO of Thuasne, and Olivier Balva, CEO of the pharmaceutical company M2i, have to manage increased logistical costs and extended supply delays, particularly due to the detour around the Cape of Good Hope. While companies are currently absorbing these difficulties, uncertainty about the duration of the conflict raises concerns about the sustainability of these measures, with a risk of significant deficits if the situation is prolonged. In response to this situation, companies are demonstrating agility by adapting their logistical networks and increasingly integrating geopolitical expertise into their strategies.
