1. London, Madrid and Paris Libraries
Use the Babylon Catalogue. There are two ways of searching Babylon.Use the So Libraries portal
Log in to the portal and select " Babylon catalogue" in the main search bar. Enter your key words or select the advanced search
Direct access to Babylon
- You can access Babylon through internet by using the keywords “escp flora”. The login page will appear in the top results.
2. Berlin Library
Campus Library Catalogue is called "OPEN". It is not yet integrated in the search bar. Please use external link to open our catalogue and search there (integration planned end 2021).

At Paris Library :
Unless there is a note on the book “prêt non renouvelable” you can renew the loan using your reader account, which is on the catalogue. Renewal are to be made through the catalogue only click here to access to the loggin page of Babylon .More information on loan policy Paris Campus > services > borrowing.
What can I do if I cannot return the book on the due date?
- You may want to return the book before your departure especially if you’re going abroad.
- You can ask a friend to return it for you.
- You may want to email us to let us know and we will find a solution.
- You can send the book by regular mail and let us know.
What if I lose the book or it is impossible to return it and I don’t want to be penalised?
- Please send us an email to let us know about your situation.
- You might be asked to buy another copy of that book and ask for it to be sent directly to the campus where the original book belongs.
- *If you can’t get the same edition, you may buy the most-up-to-date edition.
- **If the book is out of print, you may buy an up to date book on the same subject. Ask us.
- If it is impossible for you to return the book to the campus where it belongs and ,you still have the book with you, leave it at the nearest campus. [NOTE: This option is exceptional and is not the usual way to return a book]
Yes, it is possible to borrow a physical journal or newspaper for 1 day as far as it is not the most recent/last issue. Last issue is only for reference.
At the Paris, Berlin and Madrid Libraries
No, but you may scan or make copies of the articles you want to keep or read later.
Note that most of the newspapers are also available online through our databases. Remember to check Europress. You may also use the tool Publication Finder to look for journals and their availability.

Where are they located?
The Republique Library has 6 rooms: (4023, 4024, 4025, 4026, 4027) located at the upper level of the library and one is nearby to the printers at the back (4014 A).
The Montparnasse Library has 3 rooms
At the Paris Libraries, you need to use the Affluences Application. Then follow the process using your student email account. If you have any trouble please us an e-mail
- At the London Library, please consult other Libraries for the way to book a room [currently during the pandemic it is not possible to book a room inside the library]
- At The Berlin Library you actually need to due to covid19 restrictions. Please contact The Berlin Library Team library-berlin@escp.eu
Yes, and you may also use any printers in the school (on the campus where you are studying) to print.
You can use the printers to print, scan and copy.
Note that at Berlin Library, there is a sustainable book scanner for free at your service. You can send the document to your email address or use a USB stick. Copy/printing machines can be found in the student work room/PC-Pool (B019 and B125)
- Have you checked if there was paper in the drawer? If not, come ask us and then you will be able to print.
- Have you sent a very heavy file? If yes it’s normal, the file is too heavy and the machine cannot process it.
- Have you sent your work in a PDF format? If yes check if the A4 format was correctly selected.
- Ask the library staff for help.
- At the Paris and Madrid Libraries, you need to get in the touch with the IT department.
- At the London Library, students can get a refund via Papercut. Ask the library staff to show you how to do it.
- At the Berlin library, printing is free (please respect our paperless policy)
Paris Campus : Wifi is accessible throughout the library.
Use the "ESCP_wifi6" network or "ESCP_GUEST" at Paris Campus. Login with your student number and usual password.
If you' re using Mac laptop and you cannot connect to the wifi please contact the IT department for help.
At the Republique Library If you have not received an email from us, it is unlikely that your card or your paper is here. Check at the entrance of the school with the security team.
- At The Paris Republique Library, maybe someone found it and gave it to us, we have a few boxes nearby the information desk where you can have a look.
- At Paris Libraries Please do not let your belongings unattended
- At the Madrid Campus : Please ask the reception

- a DIGITAL RESOURCES search ( 80% of ebooks)

1. DIGITAL RESOURCES
> 80 % of the ebooks are accessible via the DIGITAL RESOURCES search.
> Enter search terms in the DIGITAL RESOURCES bar (Title, author, subject, ISBN).
> Narrow your search by selecting eBooks as type of document.
2. PUBLICATION FINDER
This tool used to find a journal or a newspaper is also efficient to access most of our ebooks. It is an alternative to the Digital Resources Search.
>Type in an author, title or ISBN, (for a subject search, use the Digital Resource Search).
>The Publication Finder will provide a link to the resource if it is held in our digital collections.
3. LIBRARIES CATALOGUE
Type in an author, title or ISBN of an ebook or keywords. Then, narrow your search by selecting eBooks (Type of document filter).
Libraries catalogue includes :
- Berlin, London, Madrid and Paris Libraries catalogues
- Specific series such as French law "Codes" by Dalloz / Memento by Francis Lefebvre.
- Proquest ebooks / Wiley Online Library / Vital Source/ VLeBOOKS.
- Some eBooks that are also accessible through the "DIGITAL RESSOURCES" search.

Ebooks are available through these online platforms .
Reminder : use the DIGITAL RESOURCES search scenario (or the alternative Publication Finder" ) or the libraries' catalogues to search across these multiple platforms
You can also search each database separately .

3. Ebook functionality varies from publisher to publisher.
Most platforms offer the ability to read ebooks online . Ebooks or chapters can sometimes be downloaded.
We recommend you to read online to avoid compatibility issues regarding formats and apps to read the dowloaded materials.
On your first connection you will arrive on the main page not your book. It is normal: either use again the link in Babylon or use the search bar to find your book.
If you have any trouble with Vlebooks, please contact your Campus Library Team.
Initially created by Madrid, Paris and Madrid now share this platform where you can find accesses to etextbooks from the publisher Pearson. Use the Babylone catalogue (search bar) to find them.
How to read the ebooks on the platform Vital Source.?
If you have any trouble using this platform, please contact Paris République Library Team or The Madrid Library Team.
You need to log in to the portal first!
Step 1. Find the book on Babylon and click on the link. You will be directed to this new page.
You do not need to register! Click on continue without an account
Step 2. Accept the conditions
Step 3. You will arrive directly on the book and you can start reading right away.
Note : when you leave the page the book will be returned automatically.
Q1 - Do I have to create a personal account on Navis?
Yes, otherwise you will not be able to access to a book from the "Memento series" you want to read. Your account will enable you to take notes, print pages or copy paste
Q2 - How do I create my account on Navis?
It is very simple: just follow the steps indicated on the website. Use your ESCP mail to register
If you choose to download the e-book: check the format and check if you have the tools to open it.
*PLEASE NOTE: We recommend you to read online to avoid any trouble due to format or compatibility.
The timeout differs according to the plateform:
> if you are not in an active reading (taking notes or scrolling), for about 20 to 30 minutes, your e-book session will end: you will be disconnected.
If nobody was waiting for the ebook you will be able to connect again.
> Be careful, if you leave the page of the ebook online, you will also lose your spot.
It is not possible to print a whole ebook due to restrictions imposed by the publishers and by copyright.
