"The financial success of young tech companies reflects their founder´s capability of execution, in which the setup in terms of team composition and team organization pose decisive levers.
Hence, this study will assess critical success factors across those two dimensions. While the existing literature focuses on examining singular perspectives, this study assesses three perspectives of major stakeholders for young tech companies: (Co-)founders, early employees, and venture capital professionals. Thus, it was possible to distil a granular overview of critical success factors for start-up success and weigh them according to the respective perspectives in the context of the research question: What are critical success factors in terms of team composition and organization for young tech companies? – The case of German entrepreneurial teams.
This study is qualitative in nature and grounds its results on twelve semi-structured interviews, conducted with thirteen interview partners across the three groups of stakeholders. The gathered data was then coded and analysed, using the Gioia grounded theory approach."
