This book introduces strategy, the strategist and various ways in which strategy might be formulated and does in fact form. Then it introduces six additional concepts that constitute part of the strategy process: cognition, organization, technology, collaboration, globalization, and values. Finally, it considers how all of these elements combine to suit particular contexts: managing start-up, maturity, experts, innovation, diversity and managing otherwise, considering some rather unconventional views of the strategy process and of organizations that work despite being so different.
