Young adults represent the biggest group of social media users in the world. Social media platforms have become a necessary companion for young adults at all times, which resulted in overuse of social media. Social media use on its own has numerous positive aspects, however overuse has resulted in new behaviors such as compulsively using social media to an addictive extent and developing fear of missing out. Problematic social media use has resulted in anxiety, depression and fatigue, as explored by numerous researchers around the world.
