Climate Change drives Energy Policies. Vehicle electrification is considered as one leverage to decrease CO2 emission by reduction of Oil consumption. Business case will evaluate CO2 policies impact with increased focus on Electricity for Automotive Industry and End -Customers perspective. It illustrates: Rising influence of electricity power Industry on automotive industry. Electricity price really perceived by BEV/PHEV Final Customer and real total cost of ownership, Energy Policies impacts on Automotive Technical Mix. Scope is limited to Passengers Cars. It does not include Light Commercial Vehicles, Trucks, Air and Marine. For automotive industry, CO2 footprint of energy source is important. It means that all renewable energies but also nuclear are considered as low CO2 energy sources.
