This study aims to investigate the impact of multicultural team performance (MTP) and cross-cultural capabilities (CCC) on the success of international project (SIP). An extensive analysis of the literature review had determined critical factors for every variable. Then, these elements have been validated interviewing expert managers with relevant professional experiences. Subsequently, the principal component factor analysis brought out different component categories: for CCC, soft skills and communication, and for MTP, team performance barriers, trust and transformational leadership. The multiple regression analysis emphasizes the statistically significant positive relationship existing between communication and SIP. Findings are consistent with the literature review. This paper wants to hold a global view on the topic of cross-cultural management, conceptualizing variables as multidimensional factors. These findings can have important practical implications for companies, for example, in the recruitment or selection process. Finally, the study also provides valuable frameworks and complete list of significant success factors for international projects, enabling managers to easily identify critical aspects for their project successful completion.
