Talent plays one of the key roles in organizational performance, and strong talent management results in sustained competitive advantage and rapid economic growth. As talents became more internationally mobile, countries and nations have entered the competition for global talent. Thus, the questions of attracting, developing and retaining those talents have gained worldwide importance. This doctoral dissertation studies talent interventions at different levels while looking through the theoretical lenses of cognitive evaluation theory and organizational identity theory at the global and local contextual settings.
