Author's abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to examine Bitcoin challenges for going forward. Bitcoin is an experimental, digital, decentralized and transparent currency allowing micro-payments on a worldwide scale without the involvement of financial institutions. Bitcoin is backed by cryptography, and due to its particular characteristics, it can be treated a s money, asset class, highly secure P2P global information exchange and technology platform.
