This thesis examines the development of cross-cultural intelligence for effective collaboration in a global shared services organization within a healthcare company. The objectives of the thesis is as follows: 1) to understand the features and challenges of crosscultural teams overlayed with a virtual/hybrid work environment, 2) to facilitate a cultural dimension scan for a selected group within the shared services organization, and 3) to formulate a set of practical recommendation within the areas of leadership, ways of working, and/or training & development to improve the team’s cross-cultural intelligence. This is intended to enhance collaboration, minimize conflict, improve effectiveness, and build trust within the team and with the stakeholders the organization serves.
