This thesis explores how companies can leverage marketing strategies to enhance their
employer brand and attract top talent.
Through an investigation of the literature and interviews with employees and experts in
employer branding, the study identifies essential strategies for building a strong and authentic
employer brand.
A critical gap identified in the literature is the lack of emphasis on employee engagement in
employer branding initiatives. This research addresses this gap by recommending strategies for
actively involving employees in the process, such as surveys, focus groups, and content
creation. Further, the research highlights the importance of measuring the long-term impact of
employer branding on employee retention, satisfaction, and productivity, which is often
overlooked in existing studies.
The findings demonstrate that companies can significantly enhance their employer brand by
fostering employee engagement, integrating sustainability messaging, tailoring strategies to
diverse demographics, and maintaining ethical marketing practices.
Additionally, the research suggests promising avenues for further exploration, including the
potential of emerging technologies like AI, and the adaptation of employer branding strategies
for small and medium-sized companies.
This thesis contributes to the field of employer branding by providing practical
recommendations for companies and highlighting opportunities for future research. By
prioritizing employee engagement and long-term impact, companies can build a sustainable
employer brand that attracts, retains, and inspires a talented workforce.
