"The objective of this paper is to understand the applications of AI in the management of teams in consulting firms, and, if applied and implemented, to what extent would consultants (in all fields) accept being managed by AI. The research is composed firstly of qualitative interviews with managers, who explain how they currently manage their teams on a daily basis and give their insights on the potential use of AI as an assistant in the management. The interview also covers 3 main pillars around which our study revolves: Leadership and communication, feedback exchange, autonomy and level of interaction with the consultants. Then follows a survey distributed to consultants, who in their turns share their experiences on how they are currently managed around the 3 pillars, and if they would accept being managed by AI instead than by human managers. We finally analyze the drivers behind their choices".
