"The topic of sustainability is becoming increasingly important and relevant for several stakeholders. Companies are moving towards adopting sustainable practices incorporating their efforts by creating a sustainable strategy to generate environmentally friendly products. This study focuses attention on the food industry by investigating how educated consumers are on this topic, the reasons why some of them are still reluctant to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives, and the factors that influence them in their decision to purchase sustainable products or prefer alternatives. Finally, this paper gives recommendations for companies in order to better implement their communication strategy to effectively inform consumers about their sustainability efforts."
